The Center of the Chicago Bulls Nikola Vučević scored 23 points to lead the Montenegro to a much necessary victory of 87-81 against Sweden during the Eurobasket tournament. Also on Monday, Turkey and Germany extended their record for four victories in the group phase.

Vučević also seized 15 rebounds and delivered four assists in Tampere, Finland, while Montenegro overcome a Blip in the third quarter to display its first victory in the continental tournament, keeping its hopes to reach the 16 -year -old.

Pelle Larsson led the Swedes with 28 points.

The Montenegro had an advance of 40-34 at halftime, but Sweden was the best team returning from the locker room and exceeded its rivals in the third quarter 31-24 to take the lead. A very effort by Kyle Allman, who scored 10 points in less than two minutes to give his team an advance of 80-77 with 1:50 to play, helped the Montenegro to recover and win the competition in group B.

The group phase of 24 teams is played in four different countries. The four best teams in each group will go to the direct elimination phase in Riga, in Latvia, from September 6 to 14.

Montenegro can qualify with another victory against Great Britain without victory, undoubtedly the lowest team of the group.

Serbia, Turkey, Germany remain perfect

Serbia remained undefeated and launched the Czech Republic without victory for the playoffs after a comfortable 82-60 victory.

Programming with Nikola Jovic, Nikola Jokic and Nikola Milutinov propelled the Serbs to 27-5 after the first period. Milutinov finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 interceptions.

The victory of Serbia also raised Latvia in the round of 16.

Germany remained undefeated in group B with a 120-57 victory over Great Britain, which resisted the early stadiums before collapsing. Franz Wagner collected a double-double of 18 points and 10 assists in just 18 minutes of play and Tristan Da Silva scored 25 points for the Germans.

Already qualified by group A, Turkey has shed light on Estonia by 84-64 in Riga. Turkey dominated and built a 12 -point lead after 10 minutes.

The Houston Rockets Center Alperen Sengun was again decisive for Turkey with 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

It was the first time since 2009 that Turkey managed to win four victories in a single Eurobasket. Estonia fell to 1-3 before its last group match against Portugal on Wednesday. Turkey will face Serbia in a match that determines the group’s winner.

Latvia broke Portugal 78-62 to improve its 2-2 record, with Kristaps Porzingis collected 21 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a block for hosts.

Lithuania won a place in the round of 16 and presented the host of Finland its first defeat of 81-78. Azuolas Tubelis displayed 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Rokas Jokubaitis 16 points and nine assists before being forced injured in the last period.

Finland star Lauri Markkanen maintained 7 points in the first half, joined to finish with 17, 11 rebounds and six assists.
