Nascar made a quick penalty decision on a controversial flash point during Cup of the Sunday Cup series in Sonoma.
Stand teams Brad Keselowski And Ty Gibbs I entered after maintaining their respective cars, Nascar officials had to separate them.
It was the entry of Gibbs on the stands for its second stop of the day which caused the problem, coming tight in its stand box (directly in front of Keselowski) and run a tire held by the carrier Telvin McClurkin.
McClurkin told TNT Sports that the touch meant that he was slower to serve his driver’s car, but that he was unscathed and would continue with his functions throughout the race.
Ty Gibbs: This is the price you pay to push it
After examining the incident, Nascar told Keselowski’s n ° 6 crew that they should have given more room to Gibbs at the entrance and called the tight entrance to Gibbs, without training.
There will be a more in -depth examination throughout the week while Nascar will decide to know if fines or suspensions should be taken – more likely in the direction of the agitated stands than Gibbs, having already eliminated it in the moment.

Pilot No. 54 also talked about the incident after the race, saying: “By Nascar rules, I am the main car. We have these orange lines, I have to get around these orange lines and I have a grip. (The stand team) is on the wall for a reason, they jump for a reason and they go out in a way.
“These guys like to push it and it is in a way the consequence that you pay. It is regrettable for them that they were penalized. Nothing malicious.”
