It’s been almost three weeks for Barcelona Midfielder Gavi was sidelined with a knee injury, just before the match against Rayo Vallecano.

The initial evaluation was that it was only discomfort and that the 21 -year -old would soon be back, but it turned out that the situation was more serious than expected.

The fact that the injury arrived at the same knee as Gavi injured and was operated on the back in 2023 was used to complicate things more.

Despite the option of another surgery, Barça have chosen to stick to conservative treatment for the moment.

Provide an update on the situation, Marta Ramon of Rac1 report that Barcelona will make a decision on Gavi’s next treatment in the first parts of next week.

It was decided that they will come together soon to reassess the situation and see their progress before making the great decision.

Now, it seems that the decision to know if Gavi will continue on the current treatment or will undergo surgery at the beginning of next week.

If the current treatment of treatment has shown enough progress, Barcelona are likely to continue.

But in case he stagnated, the surgery route could be chosen, which would have put the midfielder’s touch for five additional weeks.

A key player in the configuration of Hansi Flick, the prolonged absence of Gavi will be a blow, but it is important for the player and the club not to precipitate things and to make sure that his knee has completely healed before his return.
