MLB commissioner Rob Manfred has made more changes to the baseball game than any MLB commissioner before him. And while certain changes have been visualized favorably, the New York Rose Radio broadcaster seems to believe that Manfred slowly swept away from the baseball parts that made the sport big.
Manfred appeared on the ESPN Sunday evening baseball Distribution of the final of the series between the New York dishes and the Seattle Mariners, where he talked about the possibility of any other change in sport concerning the expansion, realignment or expansion of the playoffs.
Although Manfred had no plan to expand the playoffs in the future, he explained how geographic realignment and expansion of the league as possibilities that go hand in hand with each other, quoting both as options for the future.
“I think the first two subjects are linked in my mind,” said Manfred. “I think that if we develop, it offers us an opportunity to realign geographically. I think we can save a lot of wear on our players in terms of travel. And I think that our post-season format would be even more attractive for entities like ESPN. Because you would be out of the east, from the west.
“This opening of 10:00 am, where we sometimes get Boston / Anaheim, would be 2 teams from the west coast. And that 10:00 am slot is a problem for us sometimes becomes a real opportunity for our audience on the west coast. So I think the owners realize that there is a demand for the major baseball league in many major cities. And we have the opportunity to do something well around this extension process. “
Manfred also discussed geographic realignment.

While Manfred was referring, there are obviously many potential positive points to geographic realignment if more teams were added to the League. But that changes tradition more than many baseball fans like, which seems to be the case for Howie Rose.
In an article on X Sunday, Rose broadcast her grievances on the potential changes presented by Manfred, explaining how geographic realignment would be the “last movement before the total destruction of the traditions that made Baseball Grand” in his eyes.
“This is what I told you is inevitable for some time now,” wrote Rose in an article on X. “The American League (1901) and the National League (1876) will cease to exist as we know them. The last movement before the total destruction of traditions that made Baseball Grand.”

Rose has long been a baseball purist, Love your grievances in the past About several Manfred changes to the game. It is therefore perhaps not so surprising to hear your position on the possibility of geographic realignment.
However, Rose is someone who has a voice that has a significant weight in the baseball game, given everything he has accomplished during his career of five decades as a diffuser. It will therefore be interesting to see if others in the spaceball media space follow to oppose other potential changes in Manfred.
