Zach Kram of Espn.com wrote on different NBA players who could potentially be the temple of fame in the future. Kram believes that Wembanyama is a young star who is on the right track to get there. Kram said On the Spurs superstar,

“And it may seem presumed to include Wembanyama in this group, because it only played 117 career games. But health allows it, probably all players, executives and NBA fan would consider Wembanyama as a future renowned temple due to its vast skills at such a young age.”

Wembanyama is only 21 years old and he entered his third season of the NBA after being the first global choice of the NBA 2023 draft. In 46 games during the NBA 2024-2025 season, he has an average of 24.3 ppg, 11.0 RPG, 3.7 APG, 3.8 BPG and 1.1 SPG. Wembanyama also pulled 47.6% of the field last season.

In 117 games have played in his NBA career so far, it is on average 22.5 ppg, 10.8 RPG, 3.8 APG, 3.7 BPG and 1.2 SPG. So far, Wembanyama has also pulled 46.9% of the field in his career. During his career, he has already won the prize for the recruit of the year. He also led the NBA in blocks for two consecutive seasons, appeared in a NBA star match in 2025, and was also the first NBA All-Defensive team during his recruit season.

There is no doubt that Wembanyama will win more prizes in his career like the defensive player of the year, the MVP, the MVP of the finals, and also for more NBA All-Star matches. There is no doubt that Wembanyama will be an elite player for spurs for a long time. He has a chance to be one of the five best players in sport in the next two years. This will lead him to be a player in the temple of fame during his career in the NBA as long as he can remain healthy.
