Diana Taurasi eats her words.

After telling the world that “reality has come” for Caitlin Clark when she entered the WNBA after her legendary collegial career in Iowa, the Taurasi, now retired, returns these comments.

“”Thank you, unfortunately, reality comes to me now“Said Taurasi in response to Clark congratulating her on the retirement of the” Bird & Taurasi Show “broadcast during the NCAA National Championship match on Sunday.

Caitlin Clark has proven that many people are mistaken in his first WNBA season – and Taurasi was one.

“Reality arrives (for Clark). There are levels to this thing,” Taurasi said a year ago before Clark walks in a WNBA court. “You seem superhuman to play against 18 years old, but you will (play against) adult women who have been playing professional basketball for a long time.”

Of course, Clark ended up feeling increasing pain, but it was above all the same superstar as it was at university.

She collected an average of 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 interceptions per match during her recruit season on the way to lead to fever to the playoffs after being the worst team of the League a year earlier.

Clark won the recruit of the year, made the first All-Wnba team and the star team, and finished fourth in the MVP vote.

Taurasi is widely considered to be the greatest of all WNBA. On the 11th time All-Star played 20 seasons, winning three WNBA championships and an MVP prize.

With all that the world has seen from Clark, she seems to be on the way to this same conversation of “goat”.

So, Taurasi’s comments last year seemed a little salty that another player could transcend the ranks to meet her at the top.

But with its comfort to joke about the situation a year later, and Clark seeming to brush everything, Taurasi seems to have granted what was once a major controversy.
