The Nascar Hall of Famer, Dale Earnhardt Jr., changes speed with its merchandising n ° 8.
Earnhardt Announced Friday on social networks that he obtained the right to use a stylized version of n ° 8 and will give up the original n ° 8 logo used by his NASCAR team, JR MOTORSPORTS. His decision occurred two days after the Baltimore Ravens quarterrier, Lamar Jackson, made a complaint for opposition to the American patent and brands to prevent Earnhardt from putting this JRM version of n ° 8 on the goods.

“We look forward to the rest of an already successful season,” wrote Earnhardt on social networks.
Jackson, who wore n ° 8 since his college days in Louisville, previously recorded the brand “ERA 8 by Lamar Jackson”. His last statement argued that Earnhardt’s attempt to mark this particular version of n ° 8 would create confusion between consumers.
Earnhardt avoided a brand review with brand change. If the Council of Appeal of American patents and brands had denied Earnhardt, Jackson could have continued if Earnhardt had used this n ° 8 on any merchandise.
