Aaron Rodgers has still not made a decision on his future. The Steelers and the Giants were waiting for him until the giants were not, while Rodgers kept the work for other quarter-backs of a veteran free agent.
The Giants finally signed Jameis Winston then Russell Wilson, who played for the Steelers last season.
The Steelers continue to wait on Rodgers, who Visited Pittsburgh last weekand Vikings GM Kwesi Adofofo-Mensah would not be excluded a prosecution of the veteran.
But Wilson is now out of the quarter’s waiting match.
“Aaron Rodgers is a great football player. He did incredible things in this league,” said Wilson at his introductory press conference on Wednesday, via a team transcription. “I was lucky to have also been able to do great things.
“What I am focusing on is what we can do here. This is my goal since I signed. In addition, along the way, it is finding a place that will continue to believe in you.”
Wilson will compete with Winston and perhaps a quarter recruit for the starting work, but Wilson expects to start.
“Obviously, I expect to come there and to be a starter, and to win this every day because it is your mentality and your approach,” said Wilson. “I just believe that when you play this position, my goal every day is to walk on the field and help our football team win and, ultimately, to be the best in the world and to be one of the best that can do it. I think it’s my mentality, understanding this. ”
