Saturday Night Live mproduced a humorous sketch telling a fictional version of the famous “Battle of the Sexes” tennis match in 1973 between Tennis Hall of Famer Billie Jean King and three-time Wimbledon champion Bobby Riggs.
In the reimagining, the comedy the show represents SNL Actor Sarah Sherman plays tennis player “Charna Lee Diamond” and Jason Momoa plays tennis player “Ronnie Dunster”.

The match in the sketch was between Dunster and Diamond, and the Aquaman The star’s first serve was so powerful that it propelled the tennis ball through the tennis player’s stomach, leaving a transparent hole visible.
“We should have seen this coming,” one fake sports analyst said in response to the service. “He was 300 pounds of pure muscle and she was one of the lowest ranked players at the time.”
The tennis player asks Momoa to serve again, despite her obvious injury. In the skit, he grimaces at his injury and says no, but she continues to demand that he serve again.
Her next serve is fatal and decapitates her.
Former female athletes mocked SNL sketch for taking so long to solve the problem.
“I didn’t realize SNL had joined the comedy business!” Paula Scanlan, Independent Women’s Forum ambassador and former University of Pennsylvania swimmer, who spoke out against trans woman Lia Thomas’ participation on a women’s swim team.

“This sketch missed the obvious opportunity to make edgy comedy about trans guys competing against women, because they were afraid radical leftists would get mad at them. SNL is full of cowards,” said a social media user.

Radio host Clay Travis reacted to the skit, suggesting it was surprising SNL addressed the “low-hanging fruit”.
“Although satirizing a guy winning a women’s championship seems like an easy fix and so far the only place I’ve seen in entertainment make fun of that is South Park,” Travis said on social networks.
