Dallas to eight healthy players with a few double-meaning games, could it have to lose a match?

Could Dallas to lose a game because he doesn’t have enough healthy players?

It is possible. It’s unlikely, but it’s not out of the question. It is Something that Bobby Marks entered ESPN first.

The NBA rules require a team to dress at least eight healthy players for a match, or he must lose. Dallas was so ravaged by injuries that he is due to eight healthy players: Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, Caleb Martin, Max Christie, Spencer Dinwiddie, Brandon Williams, Dwight Powell and Kessler Edwards.

This is because all these players are injured:

• Kyrie Irving (torn ACL)
• Anthony Davis (adductor strain)
• Dereck Lively II (ankle constraint fracture)
• Daniel Gafford (knee sprain)
• PJ Washington (ankle sprain)
• Dante Exum (fractured hand, announced on Saturday)
• Olivier Maxence-Prosper (right wrist injury)
• Jaden Hardy (ankle sprain)
• Kai Jones (Quad Strain)

The concern in Dallas is that two of their healthy players are double -meaning players on their limit of 50 games with the main club. Kessler Edwards has been with Dallas for 47 games, while Bradon Williams is 44 years old. Once they reach 50, they can no longer play with the Mavericks and must return to the G-League.

Why don’t the Mavericks convert one or both from Edwards or Williams to regular contracts or sign another player on a 10-day contract? Because they cannot afford it. Dallas is struggling with the first apron of the luxury tax and is currently only $ 51,000 below this number, and a standard 10 -day contract is double. Mavericks have no financial flexibility.

On the right side, Big Men Jones and Washington did not play on Friday but were listed as questionable for the game, suggesting that they are about to come back. A week ago, coach Jason Kidd said that the three centers – Davis, Lively and Gafford – improved, although no chronology was given.

It is likely that when Edwards and Williams maximum the games they can play in Dallas Jones, Edwards and perhaps one or two of the centers can return to rotation. Dallas will almost certainly align eight players for all the other games.

But the fact that it is a conversation shows how decimated the mavericks.
