Surprise, Arizona – The Gaucher of the Texas Rangers, Cody Bradford, will start the season on the injured list due to the pain in his elbow.
Bradford had an MRI this week that came back clean, but the director of the Rangers, Bruce Bochy, told journalists on Thursday that the club would close for 10 days to see how he reacts. Bradford was scratched by a departure scheduled for Wednesday.
Bradford is the second starting from Texas to injure himself this week after Tyler Mahle was wiped out to start with the pain in the forearm. The right -hander expected to start throwing back in a few days.
Bradford, 27, went 6-3 with an MPM of 3.54 in 13 departures last season after having appeared eight times before. He also launched five playoffs in the Rangers race in 2023 World Series.
