Even though the Los Angeles Rams have fallen to a 3-6 record, there are plenty of positives in the storm clouds this season. The Rams have some very impressive players on offense, including rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua and running back Kyren Williams. The Rams defense has its own set of surprising stars in outside linebacker Byron Young and NT Kobie Turner.
So isnโt it time this team started to get in sync and string together some wins? I think it’s entirely possible, especially since the Rams have been very competitive in all but two games so far this season.
After all, this is the same team that beat the Seattle Seahawks (6-3) handily in Week 1 by a score of 30-13. In this victory, the The Rams used two tight ends more than at any other time this season and scored their highest single-game total this year. And despite rushing for just 2.3 yards per carrythe Rams stuck to a running offense that kept the Seahawks defense on the field and their offense on the bench.
Let’s get back to having fun again
It seems that an effective rushing attack means more than a dominant rushing attack.
The LA Rams are loaded with talent. Forget the past norm of boasting All-Pro caliber players in all phases of the Rams roster. Those days are gone, replaced by today’s standard of a group of young, inexperienced but highly energetic players who need fun and patience to reach their peak performance.
That’s exactly what the LA Rams organization signed up for when the team only carried 44 players in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Rams have six starting rookies who have contributed better than expected until here. I believe the Rams have two or three more rookies that can contribute to the team before the end of the season.
We still see today what we saw that first day.

Maybe it’s time for the LA Rams to start having fun again, exploiting the talents of young players and letting the chips fall where they may. What do the Rams have to lose? If the Rams are truly focused on 2024, they need to take the opportunity to see what rookies can do when given the chance.
The Los Angeles Rams find themselves at a huge fork in the road in Week 11. But regardless of the outcome of this game, the Rams also need to look at the bigger picture. It’s also time to start preparing for the 2024 NFL season.
