The United States national women’s team won a comfortable victory in their opening match of the Shebelieves Cup against Colombia on Thursday evening.
Scorers: Macario 33 ‘, Sendnor 60’
The United States was dominant on the ball throughout the first 30 minutes, but it had trouble doing anything in the high possession numbers.
The dead end was finally broken beyond half an hour when Catarina Macario arrived at the end of a crossing of the signature to disparage the ball to give the guests.
Macario has now been involved in nine super goals during its last six departures for the USWNT.
The stars and stripes extended their advance after the break thanks to the Utah Royals striker, Ally Sendnor, who found the bottom of the net during his first departure for the national team with a remote emphatic shot.
The two goals would be all that the Emma Hayes team should comfortably see the remaining half hour and turn their attention to a two-game event with Australia.
