Again, the racing restriction plate in Daytona has resulted in many large wrecks, and for the second time, Ryan Preece’s car has become airborne.

Preece survived a terrifying accident in Daytona two years ago when his car turned violently. He led to the removal of the grassy area from the interior field of the track.

Last Sunday, Preece’s car seemed to make a “Wheelie” before turning into the outside wall and stopping in the inner field.

Fortunately, Preece was able to get out of her racing car destroyed without apparent injuries.

But after the race, it was quick to emphasize that something should be done by Nascar to prevent cars from getting into the air.

The hooded shutters which are supposed to prevent a car from returning do not deploy until the precede car rolls up.

During overtime, several cars crashed behind the leaders. Nascar officials decided not to light the lights of prudence, allowing managers to come back to the finish.

William Byron won for the second consecutive year, followed by Tyler Reddick and the seven times Jimmie Johnson champion, who managed to miss carnage.

Other racing news

There are already 38 entries for the 77th annual execution of Little 500 in Anderson Speedway on May 24. This means that there are already enough cars to fill the field with 33 cars with more entries expected before May.

There are four former winners, including Kody Swanson, Tyler Roahrig, Bobby Santos III and Kyle Hamilton.

Caleb Armstrong, who won last year with a last pass of his cousin, Dakoda, is not on the list of entries, although an entrance was submitted by Randy Neal.

The other notable engines include Kyle O’Gara, Justin Grant, Shane Hollingsworth, Ryan Newman, Billy Wease and Logan Seavey.

Five recruits are registered, notably Beau Brandon d’Elwood, the owner of the Pat Rice car.

Local entrances were filed by Donnie Adams Jr., Travis Welpott and Rob Keesling.

Greg Vanalst of Anderson finished 26th in the Xfinity race in Daytona after starting the 16th. He was caught in a multi-gap accident 120, just six laps from the finish.
