February 14 – Midway until February, the wheels of university football recruitment are still running.

They never really stop, but a busy period is approaching as juniors are starting to plan visits to basketball matches and spring football training.

Some members of the 2025 class always finalize their plans for next year, even with the national day of signing in the rear view mirror.

Here is an overview of recent developments in the whole region:

Middletown LB is committed to Mac School

Derrick “JD” Singletary announced early this week that he would go to Bowling Green.

The three -star prospect had a dozen offers before making the call and becoming the third player in the promotion region of 2026 to engage verbally.

He had 14 plated for defeat last season, including 10.5 bags, and saved one of his best performance for the last time, recording 3.5 plated for loss and a bag in the defeat of middies against Wayne in playoffs.

His other offers included Ball State, Buffalo, Kentucky, Toledo and Virginie-Western according to 247Sports.

The 6 inches and 220 pounds is the Ohio 60 prospect No. 60 at the start of the 247sports and the edge rusher n ° 74.

The defensive back of Middletown, Jordan Vann, previously engaged in Virginia while the second of Lakota West Cam Thomas gave his commitment to Illinois.

They are among the more than two dozen players in the region already reporting in receipt offers at least one FBS school.

This group also includes the two -way line player Chaminade Julienne Elijah Berman and the defensive back Springfield Sale Keyes, who both declared that they had received offers from eastern Michigan, and the Lakota East tight PJ Macfarlane , which received an offer from Stanford.

Western Kentucky offered Trotwood-Madison Jamarcus Whyce’s defensive line player and the offensive line Pete Pender Greget.

More senior signatories

Many members of the 2025 class locked their choices on the day of the national signing on February 7, but some still sort their options.

This includes Hamilton’s receiver / defensive rear, Cairon Navey, who is committed to Findlay this week, and a pair of Badin’s defensive line players: while Royce Rachel heads for Ohio Dominican, Mount St. Joseph obtained a commitment from Tristan Tincher.

ODU, a school of division II in Columbus, also signed a pair of Centerville two days after the signing of the day: the defensive receiver / back Quentin Robinson and Bryce Bahram-Thomas.

Tippecanoe Max Howard and Gavin Newburg teammates also committed this week. Newburg, a receiver and a defensive that had 14.5 plated for defeat last season, headed for Ashland while Newburg, an assistant who had 68 plated, plans to adapt to Mount Union.

This brings the total number of players in the 2025 class locally to announce plans to play at the college level at nearly 70, including about two dozen who signed with schools from the Football Subdivision of Division I.
