Daniel Berger and Michael Kim may have finished as a distant finalists of Thomas Distry on Sunday at WM Phoenix open, but they won the right to put him next week.
Berger and Kim jumped in the latest Swing Aon 5 for the Genesis Invitational, the signing event of $ 20 million to be held during the south of Torrey Pines in Jolla, California.
For Berger, one of his four career top-20s came to Torrey Pines, where he was T-7 at the US Open 2021.
“It was really difficult,” said Berger, “so I hope it’s difficult again. I saw a few weeks ago when we played it, it was very difficult, so excited to go back.
He will also mark the first shepherd’s signature event after missing a lot of time in recent years with a back injury.
“I asked for a sponsor exemption in Pebble Beach, where the last time I played it, I won, and two years in a row, I did not get this exemption,” said Berger, ” So it was a little chip on my shoulder to do it without needing someone’s help.
Kim, who will also make his debut at the signature, attended Torrey Pines High School, although his best finish in Torrey is a T-23 for 2018 farmers.
Here are the five players who hit their Genesis tickets via the Swing 5:
Sam Stevens
Daniel Berger
Michael Kim
JJ SPAUN

Justin Lower and Lee Hodges fell after qualifying for last week at & t Pebble Beach Pro-Am via the Swing 5.
Jordan Spieth was sheltered from the cracking of the Swing 5 and the place by falling on Novak, although Spieth will always play Genesis on a sponsor invitation.
The following 10s always draw from the final ranking of Fedexcup last fall, although for the Arnold Palmer Invitational next month, it will go to the 10 best Fedexcup players of this year which are not already eligible.
