Indianapolis – Indiana fever has added goalkeeper Sydney Colson, the team announced today. Colson, a free agent, joined the fever after three seasons with the Las Vegas Aces where she helped the team win the WNBA consecutive titles in 2022 and 2023.
“Sydney is a proven veteran of our league and throughout his career, delivered to his teams in many great moments,” said COO of fever and managing director Amber Cox. “She brings a championship pedigree to a fever, adding depth to our leader position. “I am very excited for this new opportunity with Indiana. I know several players and coaches of fever, and I trust what I know about them, “said Colson. “I am delighted to be part of the vision that the staff has for this team, and I am ready to go to work.”
Recovered in 2011 by Connecticut Sun and exchanged the New York Liberty before the season, Colson helped freedom to reach the playoffs during his recruit campaign. The native of Houston, Texas, continued to make the playoffs in an additional five seasons – four with Las Vegas and one with the sky of Chicago.
Product of the Texas A&M University, Colson has an average of 2.8 points per match during his career, while pulling 40.4 on the field with 1.6 assists and 0.6 interceptions per match. She pulled a career summit of 44.4% during the season of the ACE 2023 championships.
While with the Aggies, Colson guided the team to the 2011 NCAA championship, won in Indianapolis in Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
