Official: the Manchester City Panel Nico Gonzàlez from FC Porto as they strengthen their midfielder

Manchester City officially announced the signing of the midfielder Nico Gonzàlez of FC Porto. This decision was confirmed on Mancity.com late on the last day of the transfer window. Gonzàlez becomes the fourth addition to the Pep Guardiola team. City also concluded an agreement for Juma Bah, but it will take the rest of the season on loan to the goal. Christian McFarlane also arrived in Manchester City from the New York City Football Club, but he remains to be seen if he will appear in the city’s first team or the city’s elite development system.

Contact Mancity.com Nico Gonzàlez is enthusiastic about the opportunity to play for Manchester City. He is also looking forward to playing under Pep Guardiola. Speaking of his move to Manchester City, Gonzàlez explained: “This is an ideal opportunity for me at this stage of my career. I am 23 years old and I want to test myself in England. There is no better club than Manchester City for me to do that. Look at the team they have here. It’s incredible, full of world class players. There is no footballer in the world who would not want to be part of this configuration. I know the reputation that Pep has and I can’t wait to work with him. In fact, I am honored that he wants me to play in his team.“”

Nico Gonzàlez has a role to play this season for Manchester City, but he should not be supposed to save the city’s season.

Nico Gonzàlez seems to be an addition of quality to the Manchester City team. The young Spanish midfielder is a product of the famous Barcelona Academy and his game seems to be suitable for playing in one side Pep Guardiola. He made an impression in Barcelona before his match passes to another level once he signed for FC Porto. The attributes that saw Gonz to break on the stage stood out during his stay at FC Porto. Gonzàlez is a player composed both with and without the ball. As a deep playmaker, he is a quality player in possession. He is also a defensively follower and his ability to cover the floor and read the play in fact almost the full midfielder. All in all that Nico Gonzàlez should be a nice addition to the Pep Guardiola team.

But there is a warning. Although it was an excellent sign for Manchester City to sign the midfielder, they desperately needed Gonzàz to need time to adapt to life to Manchester City. It should not be supposed to intervene and save the city’s season. If he can come and contribute for the rest of this season, it will be positive for world champions. After having signed with Manchester City until 2029, he has time to become the role he will have to play under Pep Guardiola.

Now that Manchester City has confirmed the signature of Nico Gonzàlez, they have the midfielder they need since Rodri was injured. The young midfielder seems to have all the attributes required to be a quality player for the side of Pep Guardiola. But he will need time to grow up in his role and it should not be forgotten in the middle of the excitement of his arrival.
