Rangers still believed and knew that resurgence was possible

Something is preparing in the Big Apple while the New York Rangers suddenly win again.

The Rangers won a decisive 6-1 victory over the philadelphia flyers on Thursday evening, marking their fourth victory in the last five games.

To start the competition, the Rangers were slow and abandoned a rapid goal, putting themselves in an early hole.

However, once Braden Schneider scored nine minutes after the start of the period, the valves opened and the Rangers regained their confidence.

After a trembling departure, the Rangers managed to escape the first period with an advance of 2-1 while Adam Edström added another goal.

Philadelphia recorded 17 shots in the second period, but Igor Sheterkin held standing and allowed the Rangers to maintain their advance.

Shesterkin abandoned a single goal in the last three New York games. It continues to be the engine of the recent success of the Rangers.

“He made very big stops and allowed us to rely on this,” said Peter Laviolette about Igor Shesterkin. “He was fantastic in the second. He played like that, just on the point with his game and that gave us a chance. »»

The Rangers put the game out of reach in the third period. Everyone seemed to intensify this victory.

While Shesterkin had to do work, the rest of the Rangers engraved their brand in the night and Laviolette was satisfied with the team’s efforts.

“It seemed that everyone had contributions tonight,” said Laviolette. “I thought that all the lines played very well and that the D is married.”

Barely a few weeks ago, the Rangers were sitting near the bottom of the Eastern Conference ranking with their full disarray season.

Now, the Bloehirts are one point on the second point of Joker and have recorded a file of 7-0-3 in their last 10 games.

There was always a belief in the locker rooms of the rangers that they could turn things.

“I think everyone in this room knew what we were capable of and how much we were a team,” said K’andre Miller. “It was just a question of believing honestly.”

Last season, the Rangers were known to be a team with heart. This heart has not only disappeared and they are starting to display this level of passion during this month.

“Even in the difficult moments we had, I think we have not lost our heads because we know which team we have and we simply did not forget to play hockey in a few months,” said Filip Chytil.

“Sometimes you have stretching like this in a season. This is just the team and our response. I think last month, we respond in the right direction and that is why we win these difficult games. We have to continue like this.

The Rangers will be back in action Sunday afternoon against Boston Bruins.
