THE Opening of farmers’ insurance 2025 is the 357th event Jason Day has played on the PGA Tour. Wednesday’s first event was the 1,177th in which he participated.

Through all this golf, Day, who has been on Tour for nearly 19 seasons, has only played 16 rounds in which he recorded no birdies or eagles, according to the guys at PGA Tour Live on ESPN+.

The day’s 17-hole card Wednesday showed two bogeys and the rest of the pars with the final hole remaining. His second shot on the 576-yard hole cleared the lake facing the green, but barely, and was clogged. From there, he was given a free airdrop. With white Malbon letters emblazoned on the front and back of his black sweatshirt, Day chipped his third from about 10 feet away. From there the putt looked good, catching the left edge but coming out.

So it was par for Day on the last, leaving him with a 2-over 74 and just the 17th time in his PGA Tour career without managing circles or double circles. He is behind leader Ludvig Aberg, who played on the North course on Wednesday, by 11 shots.
