After spending one season at Auburn, offensive lineman Percy Lewis is on the move again.
Two weeks after entering his name into the transfer portal, Lewis found a new college home.
Lewis will return to his home state of Mississippi to play for Lane Kiffin and the Ole Mademoiselle Rebels according to Pete Nakos of On3. He becomes the second former Auburn player to leave the Plains for Oxford, joining former defensive back Antonio Kite.
Lewis played in 10 games during his lone season at Auburn, where he made five starts at left tackle. In all, he played 307 snaps at left tackle and one snap at right guard. Lewis has logged at least 60 snaps in his five starts, but has failed to play more than 25 snaps in the five games he hasn’t started. He allowed four sacks last season in 179 opportunities according to Focus on professional football.
Ole Miss will be Lewis’ third college stop. He signed with Mississippi State as part of its 2022 signing class as the No. 1 offensive tackle in the JUCO ranks. He played in 437 snaps during the 2023 season at Mississippi State, where he allowed two sacks and four quarterback hurries at left tackle.
