Even if it doesn’t make the top 10, there’s obviously a strong case that Mohamed Salah should be considered the Premier League’s player of the season so far, with 22 goals and assists in 15 games in the league alone.
Yet Salah’s first half of 2024 has been less impressive. He accumulated nine goals in 13 games, but missed several other games due to injury.
Additionally, five of those nine goals and assists came in his first two games of the year. After that, he experienced a bit of a drought by his standards.
Saka has been more consistent throughout 2024, although Salah’s level is arguably higher just this season.
We can only hope that both players start 2025 the same way they both started 2024. If that happens, Arsenal would have a real chance of catching Liverpool before the end of the season.
