The Lions signed safety Jamal Adams to their practice squad on December 1. He will play his second match for them on Sunday.
Detroit elevated Adams from the practice squad for a second straight week, and he will play against the Bills.
Adams played eight snaps in his Lions debut on Thursday Night Football in Week 14. He made one tackle.
He opened the season with the Titans and appeared in three games in September before being released in mid-October. Adams had four tackles at Tennessee.
The Lions also elevated linebacker Andrew Beauplan with Trevor Nowakse (concussion). Beauplan was elevated for two more games this season, and he played in 20 snaps on special teams.
