Cincinnati Bengals Catcher Ja’Marr Chase said he played golf in the offseason, but “it’s not like I’m decent.”
But one thing he did on the golf course that many golfers haven’t experienced, he told reporters Thursday, was score a hole-in-one.
He did it years ago, he said. It was his third time playing golf. In Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. With his agent and Pro Football Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk watching.
Chase said he hit a 9-iron about 100 yards for an ace. “He went up the hill, he came down, he went straight into the hole. … I couldn’t believe I did it.”

Chase also spoke Thursday about his teammate and fellow receiver Higgins T-shirt.
“I feel like Tee deserves to be here. He wants to be here,” Chase said. “But at the end of the day, it’s not in my control. I just hope the best for him. I hope he can stay. But who knows what they will do to replace Tee. I’m not saying that they will, but – a lot will happen at the end of the day, I’ve been with him for so long. We’ve built chemistry with Joe (Burrow), so the chemistry is already there. the way they want to play it.”
