Michigan football pulled off an improbable surprise in “The Game” over rival Ohio State SATURDAY.
How improbable was the victory of Wolverines and first-year coach Sherrone Moore on number 2 Buckeyes? In the 120th meeting between the programs, Michigan did something that had never been done before. He entered the game as a 19.5 underdog against the College Football Playoff-aspiring Buckeyes, according to BetMGM, but took the 13-10 victory on a Dominic Zvada basket late in the game.

According to CBS Sports broadcaster John Fanta, Saturday was only the second time an unranked Michigan team took down AP-ranked Ohio State on the road, with the first event dating back to 1950. It was the first such event in Columbus or Ann Arbor since 1993, when Michigan beat No. 1. 5 Buckeyes 28-0.
Michigan has now won four in a row against the Buckeyes and three in a row in games listed by Ohio State as a favorite. The Buckeyes’ loss eliminated them from the Big Ten championship game, barring a loss to No. 4 Penn State or No. 10 Indiana.
