Quarterback Lamar Jackson starred as the Baltimore Ravens sealed a 30-23 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in the last edition of the Harbaugh Bowl.
Jackson got the Ravens on the board when he scored a touchdown, before throwing for two more.
This is the third time siblings John and Jim Harbaugh, who coach the Ravens and Chargers respectively, have met in the NFL, with the former going undefeated.
“It’s a big win. Proud for our guys,” John Harbaugh said.
“I just told him (Jim) you’re a great coach, you have a great team and I love you.”
In the previous two meetings, John led the Ravens to victory over Jim’s San Francisco 49ers in a regular season game in 2011 before breaking out on the big stage in the 2013 Super Bowl.
“It’s pretty cool to be a part of history,” Jackson said of his victory.
“We finished the game the right way. We started slow. We have to solve this problem and I think we will be where we want to be.”
Jackson, the NFL’s 2023 Most Valuable Player, threw for 177 yards, while running back Derrick Henry ran for 140 yards to lead Baltimore’s offense.
“We just got in sync, we got going, we made the plays, we went with what we knew,” Jackson said.
“Henry took one and did what he knew. There’s no stopping this man.”
