The New York Rangers have recalled Brett Berard from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

The Rangers also assigned Victor Mancini and Chad Ruhwedel to the Wolf Pack.
In 16 games in the AHL, Bérard recorded seven goals, six assists and 13 points as he got off to a good start to the season.
Bérard is an explosive young forward who could bring a lot to the Rangers’ offense if Peter Laviolette decides to insert him into the lineup.
It’s unclear what this means for the health of Filip Chytil, who is currently listed as day to day with an upper body injury.
