Ohio State football entered the week and will continue after the week to be ranked the second best team in the country.
The Buckeyes are No. 2 since beating the then-undefeated Penn State Nittany Lions three weeks ago. They are currently only beaten by Oregon Duckswho beat them earlier this season.
As for the other top teams in the country, many are looking to the Texas Longhorns, Tennessee Volunteersthe Miami Hurricanes and many others.
But, according to one SEC analyst, that’s not really a conversation at the moment since Paul Finebaum says Ohio State is the best college football team in the country.
“I think Ohio State is the best team in the country. That could change, but right now it doesn’t,” Finebaum said via Jaron Spor from Athlon Sports.
From their defense, which has been considered one of the best in the country, to their receivers, who have shown time and time again that they can play at an elite level, the Buckeyes have talent all over the field.
They feel like they’re the most complete team in the country, and the numbers back it up. Finebaum’s comments seem spot on. Let’s just hope that in the weeks to come, Ohio State continues to prove him right.
