Fast tracks across the country will be quiet today, at least as far as NASCAR.
The organization’s Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series all completed their 2024 seasons with championship races last week at Phoenix Raceway.
The offseason is not too long, however. The engines will roar again in competition in February. Lots of winter news – like drivers changing routes And trial updates involving Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing, Front Row Motorsports and NASCAR – will keep the sport busy.
Let’s review the end of this year and take a look at the offseason.

Who won the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship?
Joey Logano joined some of the titans of auto racing in winning his third Cup Series title last week. He won the championship race in Phoenix ahead of runner-up Ryan Blaney.
Logano has already lifted the trophy in 2018 and 2022. He now holds as many titles as Lee Petty, David Pearson, Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip and Tony Stewart.
Four drivers have won four or more.
Logano finished the regular season 15th in the standings. But he heated up at the right time, winning three times in the playoffs.
When is the NASCAR Awards ceremony?
The vote for Most Popular Driver Award will continue until 11:59 p.m. Thursday. The next day, the winner of each circuit will be revealed.
The 2024 NASCAR Awards will take place Friday at the Charlotte Convention Center. The banquet will air at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 24 on your local CW station.
When does the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season start?
NASCAR will kick off 2025 with a preseason exhibition, The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, on February 2 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. On February 16, the Daytona International Speedway will host the 67th edition of the the Daytona 500 to start the regular season.
