Alex Cooper finally addresses the one topic she’s been hesitant to discuss his podcast.

In a in-depth interview with Cosmopolitan, The “Call Her Daddy” host opened up about a traumatic experience she had at the hands of her Boston University football coach.

Although Cooper, 29, did not reveal details of the incident, which she has alluded to over the past three years, she said she is “in the process” of healing.

“With this specific thing, it’s very personal to me and it’s taken a toll on my mental health,” she said in the cover story published Tuesday.

“Recently I’ve reconnected with a lot of people that I used to play soccer with who were there when things were going on and it’s been pretty cathartic,” she explained.

“I ran into one of my teammates at Santa Monica who I hadn’t seen since we graduated – we didn’t even say hello to each other, we just both started crying. There’s another woman who went through this with me, and we finally saw each other recently and it’s just crazy to talk about it together.

The former D1 athlete said some of her former classmates had the same “scars.”

“I’m not the only person that something like this has happened to,” she revealed.

“I will definitely talk about it on the podcast. I just don’t know when,” Cooper added.

“This topic is in a drawer in my brain, it’s slightly open now and I know it’s there, but I’m not going to force myself to go there until I’m like, ‘All right, I I’m really ready.'”

“I will definitely talk about it on the podcast. I just don’t know when,” she explained.

The former Barstool employee also noted that when she discusses the incident, it will be “a much broader conversation.”

“It’s not just going to be about what happened to me, it’s going to be about bringing other women together,” she concluded.

Cooper previously told her listeners that she left the Boston University football team before the end of her senior year.

However, the circumstances that led to his departure remain unknown.

Outside of his podcast, Cooper is currently planning a wedding with her Engaged to movie producer, Matt Kaplan.
