Draymond and Moody Hilariously Tease Steph’s Mentoring Method originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
Draymond Green and Moses Moody love the way Steph Curry mentors the Warriors’ young players, even if they find it somewhat funny.
Moody and Green talked about how Curry will give you his full attention in practice.
“This man gives you the most profound answer,” Green told Moody and Baron Davis on “The Draymond Green Show.” “He’s with you every step of the way. We could be at training, (someone) approaches him to ask him for advice. We moved on to the next exercise and he’s still over there in the corner, talking to them. We all gathered around and watched him, waiting for him to stop.
“And it’s one-on-one too. He doesn’t do it in front of everyone,” Moody told Green and Davis.
“Like, he’s talking to you, no one else has any idea what you’re talking about.” It’s very quiet there,” Green said.
His teammates have praised Curry’s mentoring style for some time, as the Golden State superstar constantly seeks to elevate everyone. From Steve Kerr has arrived as head coach in 2014, the Warriors took the “Strength in Numbers” mantra to heart.
While Curry and Green have propelled the Golden State dynasty over the past decade, many vital players have also made an impact.
As the team looks to continue its strong start to the season, Moody along with Bradin Podziemski, Trayce Jackson-Davis and Jonathan Kuminga form a group. great young core eager to learn from Curry.
The youth movement in Golden State has worked well so far this season, with a deep Warriors rotation rushing to a record of 7-1 through eight matches.
Part of that is due to Curry’s deep mentorship of Moody and the rest of the team.
