The college basketball season kicked off earlier this week and we’re already looking ahead to March Madness.
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released his first batch of Bracketology for the regular season, and unsurprisingly, Michigan State is in the mix. Lunardi currently has the Spartans as the No. 7 seed in the South Region. He has the Spartans currently facing No. 10 seed Memphis in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Michigan State is one of 10 Big Ten teams to be included in the field. Purdue is the highest-ranked Big Ten team as a No. 3 seed, followed by Indiana and UCLA, who are No. 5 seeds.
Michigan State is 1-0 this year and will return to the field Thursday in a non-conference home game against Niagara.
