Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was spotted attacking teammate Alejandro Garnacho during the match against Chelsea yesterday.
Fan footage emerged showing Casemiro visibly frustrated with Garnacho after he lost the ball and then failed to adequately get back to try and make up for his mistake.
It’s been a difficult season at Man Utd and Chelsea have never been easy opponents, although there are perhaps a few small areas that some players could improve on.
Watch below how Garnacho lost the ball high up the pitch and allowed Chelsea to bomb as a result, with Casemiro having to make up a lot of ground to cover for his teammate…
Casemiro clearly wasn’t happy with Garnacho and that’s surely something the Argentine winger needs to do better, especially now that he’s more experienced at this level.
Gary Neville understood Casemiro’s frustration with Alejandro Garnacho
Casemiro was not alone not being impressed by grenacheas former United defender Gary Neville also spoke about his podcast about him and Marcus Rashford not doing enough as wide players to help their full-backs.
“I’m not going to extract Rashford and Garnacho, but I do, because they are two players who have come through the ranks. I think there’s some merit to that – you’re an academy player and you get a certain level of buy-in from the fans because of that, there’s an enthusiasm towards them.
“They’ve been in the team now, Rashford for a few years and Garnacho for about a few years, but when I look at (Bukayo) Saka, (Leandro) Trossard and (Gabriel) Martinelli (for Arsenal), I look at Bernardo Silva and (Phil ) Foden for City or I watch the Liverpool players I watch them all come running back, harass and double with real intent.
“I just saw (Malo) Gusto running down the other side during the first half and I couldn’t believe the space he had. The first ethic is you have to work hard.
Garnacho is a top talent, but this is precisely the sort of thing he will need to improve on quickly if he is to retain his place in United’s starting line-up and play a key role in helping the club return to the top .
