Kirk Herbstreit, ESPN college football analyst and host of “College GameDay,” gives Georgia Bulldogs much credit for their impressive Road win 30-15 against Texas Longhorns.
Herbstreit ranked Georgia as his highest performing team of Week 8 and considers head coach Kirby Smart and defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann his highest performing coaches of the week. The Georgia defense shut down the Texas offense with seven sacks and four forced fumbles.
Herbstreit evaluates Georgia’s star linebacker Milestone Walker as its second best performing player of the week behind Missouri’s Brady Cook. Walker recorded three sacks and eight tackles in Georgia’s win.
“UGA defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann, Kirby Smart and the Dawgs defense reminded the nation last week that you should never underestimate an angry and motivated @GeorgiaFootball team,” Herbstreit said via social networks.
GameDay chosen against Georgia Saturday as doubters helped fuel the Dawgs into their dominant performance.
Kirk Hebrstreit thinks there could be a rematch between Georgia and Texas. The Bulldogs and Longhorns are the top contenders for the SEC championship, even though both teams aren’t in the top two in the standings. SEC Ranking.
“Congratulations to @GeorgiaFootball on a great win. I have a feeling these teams will meet again at some point!” noted Herbstreit.
