It’s the final day of four games in the MLB playoffs, and with two crucial American League Game 3 games and two National League Game 4 playoff games, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

In the ALDS, the Detroit Tigers beat the Cleveland Guardians 3-0 in the first game on Wednesday, taking a 2-1 lead in this series.

In the Netherlands, the Phillies have your back to the wall in match 4 against the Mets. The pitching matchup will see Ranger Suarez for Philadelphia against Jose Quintana for New York.

Later in Kansas City, the Royals host the Yankees in Game 3. KC won Game 2 by a score of 4-2 to gain home-field advantage in the series. Maikel Garcia had four hits and Salvador Perez homered in the win. In Game 3, the Yankees sent Clark Schmidt to the mound against Seth Lugo for the Royals.

Finally, at the last drink, the Padres can knock out the Dodgers with a victory in San Diego. The intense rivalry saw fans throw objects at players and Manny Machado earning the wrath of Dave Roberts. The Padres send Dylan Cease to the mound and the Dodgers will have a game in the bullpen.

Tigers 3, Goalkeepers 0

Another game between the Tigers and the Guardians, another shutout.

Riley Greene, Matt Vierling and Spencer Torkelson secured the points as the Tigers took a 2-1 lead in the ALDS series with a 3-0 victory in Game 3. The Tigers were powered early by strong reliever pitcher Brant Hurter, who pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings after starter Keider Montero kept the Guardians quiet in the first inning. Greene’s first-inning single and Vierling’s third-inning sacrifice fly helped Detroit lead 2-0.

Torkelson, who entered the day hitless in his previous 14 at-bats, hit a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth inning to extend Detroit’s lead to 3-0, which was more than enough considering the quality of the Tigers bullpen. was playing. After Hurter left the game, Beau Brieske entered and continued his dominant postseason run with two more scoreless innings of relief.

The Guardians had their chances, but left eight runners on base and managed only six hits against Tigers pitchers Wednesday, three of which came off the bat of Steven Kwan. The Guardians have now gone 20 consecutive innings without scoring a point. Detroit can close out Cleveland in Game 4 on Thursday.
