What Caitlin Clark said after the season ended: “I don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow.”

Caitlin Clarkit’s remarkable, record season for rookies has ended. But not without a fight. All-WNBA First Team Selection helped lead a dynamic team Indiana Fever effort in a possible, Defeat 87-81 against Connecticut in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Wednesday.

Key takeaways from match 2: Caitlin Clark’s First Year of Fever Experiment Ends in Crushing Defeat

Clark played all 40 minutes Wednesday night and led the Fever with 25 points on 10-of-23 shooting. She added nine assists and six rebounds and helped Indiana rally to take the lead late in the fourth quarter. But the Sun veteran kept the Fever at bay with timely 3-pointers and physical defense.

Here’s what the Fever star said after the game:

Asked about her offseason plans, Clark said: “I was focused on winning the Connecticut Sun. I didn’t think too much about the future. I don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow or the next day. So, maybe play golf. That’s what I’m going to do until it gets too cold in Indiana. I’m going to be a professional golfer.”

Here’s his response when asked about his favorite moments from a busy year:

“Honestly, I feel like there’s been so many incredible moments, but it’s the moments that none of you see that I’ve enjoyed the most, it’s not the basketball. It’s the people that I spend it with, whether it’s my family, whether it’s my teammates. That’s what makes it special. Those are the people that know me best. Those are the people that I really care about. So at the end of the day, basketball is basketball, that’s what it is. The people around me are the ones that allow me to be good, to express myself. So I don’t think it’s like anything on the field that I would pick, like yeah, there’s been a lot of great moments, making the playoffs, getting drafted, whatever it is, getting to the national championship game, that’s really cool but at the end of the day, it’s the people and the relationships and the outside memories… if it’s not for you as a professional athlete, I feel like you’re going about it the wrong way. Yeah, championships are great, hopefully we get a few, but at the end of the day, you have to have really good relationships with people, so I feel like it’s all of those things and you can’t just pinpoint one thing.

This story will be updated.
