Adrian Wojnarowski delivered one final WojBomb on Wednesday when he announced on social media that he was retiring from ESPN.

Wojnarowski will leave the NBA world to become general manager of the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team, where he graduated in 1991.

“It is a unique pleasure to be able to return to a university and community that I love in a role of service to our student-athletes, our coaches and our institution,” Wojnarowski told ESPN“I hope to bring value in many areas to our basketball program and open doors for the future of our young men, both professionally and personally.”

In his role as Bonnies general manager, Wojnarowski will work with collectives for name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities, manage the transfer portal, assist with recruiting and work with families and former players, and fundraise.

Prior to joining ESPN, Wojnarowski worked at Yahoo Sports for nearly a decade, including as Editor-in-Chief of The Vertical.

The St. Bonaventure men’s team plays in the Atlantic-10 Conference and has appeared in the NCAA Tournament three times since 2012. Last season, they posted a 20-13 record under head coach Mark Schmidt.
