With NHL 25 Early Access just over two weeks away, the top players by position are expected to be revealed this week.
The first reveal will take place on September 16, so today we’ll attempt to predict the top 10 highest-rated wingers in NHL 25.
This will likely be the year that veterans like Brad Marchand, Alex OvechkinAnd Patrick Kane are starting to fall further down these lists.
Last year’s original global reveal may be seen here.
1. Nikita Kucherov – RW – 96
After scoring a league-best 144 points and becoming the fifth player to record 100 assists in a season, Kucherov deserves the highest overall rating of a winger to start the game.
2. David Pastrnak – RW – 95
A 47-goal, 110-point season in his first season without Patrice BergeronPastrnak continued to score goals and showed great playmaking qualities last season, he should not be rated lower than 95.
3. Artemi Panarin – LW – 94
With a career-high 49 goals and 120 points last season, Panarin took his game to the next level in 2023-24 and earned the No. 3 spot.
4. Mikko Rantanen – RW/C – 93
Back-to-back 100-point seasons and more than a point-per-game in the playoffs have solidified Rantanen as one of the game’s elite wingers.
5. Matthew Tkachuk – LW – 93
Tkachuk had fewer points in the regular season than he did in the previous two seasons, but he had nearly a point per game in the playoffs and won the Stanley Cup, which is enough to keep him at 93. He will also have the best physical attributes of any winger on this list.
6. Kirill Kaprizov – LW – 92
With three straight 40-goal seasons and fifth among wingers in points per game last season, Kaprizov is quietly one of the best offensive players in the NHL.
7. Mitchell Marner – RW – 92
Seventh in points per game among wingers and elite playmaking skills maintain Marner At 92nd, he was in the NHL’s 24th.
8. Jason Robertson – LW – 91
Robertson has had some regression shooting-wise and his 29 goals are below expectations, but his skill and physical tools warrant a high rating. 91 is one point below the 92 rating he finished with in NHL 24.
9. Sam Reinhart – AD/C – 91
Reinhart was listed as the primary center in NHL 24, but he spent the majority of his time on the ice with Alexander Barkov Last season, he should be a primary winger in the NHL 25. 57 goals and a Stanley Cup title put him on that list.
10. William Nylander – RW-91
With back-to-back 40-goal seasons and the fifth-leading winger in scoring last season, Nylander has an overall boost to start the season.
