Sept. 10 — LAKEWOOD, Colo. — The UTPB men’s golf team began the 2024-25 season with a sixth-place finish out of seven teams at the Writz at Mile High.
The tournament consisted of 54 holes with two rounds on Monday and the final round on Tuesday.
The Falcons finished the tournament with a score of 315-316-302—933, or plus-69, while seventh-place South Dakota Mines finished with a score of 325-317-326—968, or plus-104.
Will Tate led the Falcons after shooting 75-78-74—227 to finish 16th overall.
No. 1 Colorado Christian shot 277-284-269-830 to finish 34 under, 57 shots ahead of second-ranked Colorado Mesa (285-298-304-887).
UTPB will return on September 30 at the RJGA South Central Shootout, hosted by Western New Mexico University.
