THE Wisconsin Badgers (2-0) welcomes No. 4 Alabama Red Tide (2-0) Saturday afternoon in one of the biggest games of their season. Not only that, but it’s also one of Wisconsin’s biggest home games in a decade.
Alabama will be the first top-five team in the country to visit Madison since Ohio State was ranked No. 3 when it visited in 2023. Before that, Wisconsin against then-No. 2 Ohio State in 2016 was the last such meeting.

Both teams enter the contest looking for a decisive victory. Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell is working to get Wisconsin back to its nine-win streak. A top-five upset could speed that process along. New Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer is trying to replace the recently retired Nick Saban.
Alabama will enter the contest as the heavy favorite after Wisconsin’s up-and-down performance to start the season. But that doesn’t mean the game doesn’t have a lot at stake for both teams involved.
