The 2024 NBA Summer League, also known as the Las Vegas Summer League, an off-season basketball competition hosted by the National Basketball Association, kicked off on Friday, July 12.
Currently, 30 teams participate in the NBA Summer League. The top four teams advance to the playoffs and compete for the main title. The current champion of the Summer League is Cleveland. The most successful teams are Portland and Sacramento, who have each won two titles.

What You Need to Know About NBA Summer League in Las Vegas
NBA teams are coming together to try out different summer rosters in place of their regular-season rosters, including rookies, sophomores and players from G League affiliates. The current NBA Summer League also includes the California Summer Classic League and the Salt Lake City Summer League, in addition to the Las Vegas Summer League.
The first season of the Las Vegas Summer League took place in 2004 and the games were played at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Six NBA teams participated in the draw: the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, and Washington Wizards. The teams played a total of 13 games. The 2005 NBA Summer League featured 15 teams.
In 2007, the NBA added the NBA prefix to the tournament, which became the NBA Summer League. In 2008, 22 teams participated in the Summer League, and EA Sports was the sponsor. Currently, 30 teams participate in the NBA Summer League.
