The answers to today’s NYT Mini Crossword are just ahead.
If you missed Saturday’s NYT Mini, you can find the answers here:
Wondering what kind of rural stream sounds like the sound of a haunted house? Not sure what American Eagle’s lingerie and loungewear brand is called? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you find the answers for today’s NYT Mini crosswords.
The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the longer, bulkier newspaper crosswords. Most of the time, there are three to five clues in each direction on a five-by-five grid, but the puzzles are often larger on weekends.
Unlike its big brother, the NYT Mini Crosswords are free to play on the New York Times website or the NYT Games app. However, you will need a NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.
The NYT Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I try to complete the standard weekday grid in less than a minute. But sometimes I can’t figure out a clue or two and have to reveal the answer.
To help you avoid this, here are the NYT articles Mini Answers to the crossword for Sunday, July 21 (Spoilers await you, of course):

I needed 1:19 to complement today’s NYT Mini.
I managed to get three of the Across answers on my first try: GAP, BORNE, and SWING. I needed a little extra help with the other two, but I should have found NEE. I also got all of the Down answers except AERIE (I’d never heard of it). However, having the first and last letters helped me find NEE to complete the puzzle.
I enjoyed the CREEK and GROAN puns, I have to admit.
