In what is perhaps the least surprising news of the month, 2K has announced that NBA 2K25 heads to Switch *to gasp*. In September *double gasp*. With a confusing number of physical and digital editions *goes out*.

Ready to come to us September 6thNBA 2K25 will be graced by a trio of athletes depending on which edition you choose. Boston Celtics center Jason Tatum will take center stage on the Standard Edition, Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson will be on the WNBA Edition, and dunking champion Vince Carter will be crowned gold on the Hall of Fame Edition.

To be a star, you have to be #BallOverEverything ????

To keep things simple, there only seem to be two editions available on Switch: the Standard Edition and the All-Star Edition. The latter will include all the usual add-ons, including 100,000 VC, a MyTEAM promo box, bonus MyCAREER content, and more in addition to the base game.

As for what will be different in this year’s offering, we don’t know yet. 2K25 will once again be missing a handful of “new gen” features on Switch, but MyCareer and MyTeam will make their expected return. Fingers crossed that this will be an improvement over the previous version. 2K24 watered downbut we are preparing for disappointment…

Will you be buying NBA 2K25 on Switch? Let us know in the comments.
