The Celtics are your 2024 NBA champions.

Boston finished business on its home court, protecting the floor with a decisive 106-88 victory over the Mavericks.

Jayson Tatum did his best in the closing game, posting a near triple-double of 31 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds to finally lead the Celtics over the hump. It was his co-star Jaylen Brown who took home Finals MVP honors, finishing with 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists to win the Bill Russell Trophy.

Boston’s defense kept Luka Doncic (28 points on 25 shots) and Kyrie Irving (15 points on 16 shots) in check, keeping Dallas under 100 points for the fourth time in five games. The result: confetti rained down on the ground of the TD Garden.
