Who helps Luka?
Luka Doncic can’t do much. Even a 32-point triple-double wasn’t enough for the Mavs to earn a victory against the Celtics in the last game. He needs help and he needs it ASAP. The most obvious choice to step up and play the side kick is Kyrie Irving. The former Celtics had some unforgettable plays on the field in front of fans wearing his jersey at TD Garden. While the shot is understandable, one thing we’re not used to seeing is Kyrie turning the ball over. One of the greatest ball handlers of all time was unusually sloppy with his dribbling and passing. We saw him bounce the ball off his feet, get possession taken away, and pass it out of bounds with no one in the zone. Beating the Celtics is hard enough, but when half of your team duo can’t do it, it makes winning impossible.
