The Soweto giants are set to travel to Rustenburg for the start of their pre-season, the club has confirmed.
“It’s all hands on deck for the Orlando Pirates as the team prepares for the upcoming season. After a five-week hiatus from club activities, the players marked their return by traveling to the Tshwane High Performance Center on Monday to undergo the first part of the pre-season, which includes medical examinations and general assessments. The two-time champions will conclude all their observations this week, before traveling to Rustenburg to mark the official start of the 2023 pre-season schedule,” Pirates said on the club’s official website.

Meanwhile, club physio Kutlwano Molefe said, as quoted on the club’s website: “The festive period is over, it’s time to put ourselves to the test and prepare for the season ahead. However, before we begin conditioning and football work, we must first establish a physical, physiological and psychological foundation that will determine the rest of the season. This is probably one of the most important parts of the season.
The Pirates have confirmed that their first camp will be held from July 2-8, 2023.
