Twitter is adding a new feature to help users understand what’s “happening now.”
The company today introduced a new feature that will highlight sports games, latest news and other topics at the top of its users’ calendars.
The feature, which is now rolling out to Twitter apps, places a carousel of events at the top of your feed. Twitter says the events “happening now” will be personalized for each user based on their interests and the types of accounts they follow.
The company says that for now the plan is to focus on sports, with updates on football, baseball, soccer, hockey and basketball, but other topics will be added to the future.

This update is just the latest way Twitter is looking to attract sports fans with a focus on live coverage. In August, the company reached an agreement with Stadium digital sports network for its 24-hour college sports coverage. Twitter also hosted live streams of Thursday night NFL games And MLB Games.
By now bringing professional sports to the forefront in its app, the company is doubling its efforts to make Twitter the destination for sports fans.
