While the Capital of Halloween Holidays offers countless family-friendly thrills for the whole family, visitors to Orlando will discover a darker side filled with heart-pounding excitement for horror fanatics. Here are some of the the scariest events for adults coming this Halloween season.

In theme parks, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort at Universal Studios Florida (through November 4) returns for a record 48 nights with 10 new movie-quality haunted houses; while Howl-O-Cry at SeaWorld Orlando (select nights through October 31) returns with fully immersive scares featuring spooky haunted houses, scare zones and an electrifying live show.

On Sundays this fall, guests can attend the Cereal Killer Brunch and the HallowEMO Night event on Halloween, featuring new cocktails and entertainment.

Spooky Halloween shows take place throughout Orlando, including Phantasmagoria XIV: “Tales of the Undead» (October 26 – 28) at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts; Martini Theaterthe Annual Halloween Revue (until October 31), an interactive dinner show featuring lyrical pole dancers, comedians, magicians and jugglers; “Nosferatu” (September 15 – November 5, 2023) at Renaissance Theater Companya 90-minute revisited horror experience for adults only, followed by an evening at the Vampire nightclub “VBar”.

The haunting outdoor attractions will also feature events aimed at older audiences: Harry P. Leu Gardens will host the new Haunting nights (now through October 31) – a clever, elevated immersive Halloween event featuring thrilling surprises for guests ages 13 and up; while Scream n’ Stream Drive-Thru Halloween Experience returns with seven gruesome zones to traverse with monsters, music, lighting and special effects.

For a more artistic Halloween experience, adults will enjoy the Orlando Museum of Art. Until death brings us a party: a cocktail evening on the Day of the Dead (October 28), featuring an evening filled with art, music, specialty tequila and mezcal cocktails, light bites, traditional Mexican dance performances and more.

Electric Daisy Festival (EDC) returns to Orlando with three action-packed days filled with life, love, art and music November 10-12 at Tinker Field. Featuring five technology-filled stages, three-dimensional superstructures, colorful glow-in-the-dark environments and more, EDC Orlando will feature an impressive lineup of performances from Zedd, Alesso, Alison Wonderland, the Chainsmokers and other artists. Festival-goers will also be able to enjoy pre- and after-parties taking place throughout downtown Orlando from November 9-12.

Light line began service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) connecting Orlando and South Florida (Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach) with inaugural routes last month. And now, alongside the increase in the number of weekly journeys, Brightline and Mears Transport announced a new partnership to help connect travelers between Brightline Orlando Station and various Orlando area destinations in partnership with Orlando Health.
