Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit have consistently made headlines throughout the 2023 college football season discussing the topic of West Virginia Mountaineers.
Herbstreit lost a bet with McAfee over whether or not the team would surpass the 6.5 win mark, leading McAfee to discuss Herbstreit’s punishment for the loss.
McAfee discussed his plans on The Pat McAfee Show, saying, “I’m going to announce it now even though it hasn’t been scheduled, and we don’t know if it’s possible.” Kirk Herbstreit and I will be doing a live show at a theater in Morgantown where the ticket money raised will be donated 50/50 to NIL and the children’s hospital there, across the street from the stadium parking lot.
While the idea of two of college football’s most beloved figures heading to Big 12 Country to raise money for NIL’s collectives and charities sounds like a fantastic idea on paper, McAfee mentioned some possible holdups.
“We have no idea if this is possible,” McAfee said. “I haven’t consulted Herby, but that doesn’t matter. He lost. That’s kind of how it happens.
Although the 2024 college football season is about five months away, McAfee, Herbstreit and the Mountaineers will form a fun relationship to follow during the 2024 season.
