The Panini Rising Stars 2024 final took place between Team Jalen (Pink) and The Detlef team (Schrempf). Team Jalen advanced to the finals after defeating Team Tamika (Catchings) in the semifinals led by Bennedict Mathurin of the Indiana Pacers. On the other hand, Team Detlef created a surprise against Victor Wembanyama and Team Pau (Gasol).

Team Jalen defeats Team Detlef and wins Panini Rising Stars 2024
It was a total team effort from Team Jalen as they defeated Team Detlef, 26-13 to win the 2024 Panini Rising Stars. Derek Lively II led the way with six points, Jalen Williams and Jordan Hawkins each scoring five points. Walker Kessler contributed four points and a nice interior presence.
Bennedict Mathurin calmed down by finishing with just four points after exploding for 18 points against Team Tamika in the semifinals. Jeremy Sochan was once again scoreless, while Chet Holmgren had two points, two rebounds and two assists.
Still, Mathurin’s overall performance was enough for him to win the Indiana Rising Stars MVP award.
On the other hand, Oscar Tshiebwe scored eight points and two rebounds for Team Detlef, a team record. Alondes Williams added three points and Emoni Bates two points. These three players are the only ones to have scored in the final for the Detlef team.
This was a great effort from the NBA G League players. No one expected them to be in the finals against the best rookies and sophomores. At least they will have the surprise victory against Victor Wembanyama and Team Pau Gasol.
